11 days after his 19th birthday, Adam flew out from Stansted with Rory, one of his best friends, for a working holiday in Zante, Greece. We had been there for a family holiday when he was 5, staying in Tsilivi, so he was returning to the island. He kept in touch with us by text and phone calls, and he was loving every minute, making new friends and enjoying working on 5-a-side football and selling tickets on his moped. This was his first big adventure without any member of the family, and he was there for just six short weeks before he died from a tragic accident in Laganas Bay. We may never know all the answers as to why we lost our beautiful boy. But we will always remember him with deep love and pride, and we will miss him for the rest of our lives.
