Today was a big one to get through. Your first birthday in heaven. Denise kept me on the straight and narrow during the day - we even had a Greek meze for lunch in Ramsgate Harbour when we were expecting to eat fish and chips - and then realised how wierd that we had chosen to eat Greek food. Marcus was doing artwork for his AS in school. Melanie was with Lynn who was visiting her in Spain. Philip was in Cambodia, Paris in Greece for his brother's wedding on the 10th. It was Stephanie's last day at school. Gran stayed at home. The Zante boys had a beer for you. In the evening your amazing friends took the day off work, or came back from uni, and organised a night at the Portrait and it was a real celebration for you. Many of my close friends came too, it was good to all be together. Emails, facebook messages, texts, phone calls came in all day from family and friends round the world. So many beautiful flowers and cards were taken to your resting place. You are SO loved. Mum xxx
