Today Old Seds 2008 played Chis & Sid 1st XV. Just before the match started, Phil Ubee, Head of Rugby at the school, led a minute's silence for Adam. Both teams linked arms on the 1st XV rugby field and stood facing the supporters behind the touchline, and for that one minute the only sounds that could be heard on the 1st XV rugby field were the birds flying overhead. Marcus put his arm round me. The respect from everyone for Adam was really moving. Matt Walters was Old Seds Captain this year and Adam would have played this match. Old Seds lost 30-15 but it was a good game even if Matt and Dave Nolan did get sin binned!(We can't remember Matt ever being sent off before...). Seeing all the boys and parents together again like on all those Saturday mornings when they were played for the school was very emotional and we felt sure that Adam and Noel just had to be there with us all.
